Replace a logo on every slide in PowerPoint

Changing a logo slide by slide is slow and easy to get wrong. RepLogo swaps the old logo for the new one across your whole .pptx file in one go, including logos placed on the slide master and layouts.

Replace a logo in your PowerPoint file

How to replace a logo in PowerPoint

  1. Upload your .pptx file

Drag your PowerPoint file onto RepLogo or choose it from your computer. Files up to 25 MB are supported.

  2. Click the old logo

RepLogo lists every image in the presentation. Click the logo you want to replace.

  3. Add the new logo

Upload the new logo image. It takes the old logo's place on every slide.

  4. Download your presentation

The updated .pptx downloads automatically. Open it in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides.

Where logos hide in a PowerPoint file

A logo in a presentation is rarely in one place. It is usually on the slide master, sometimes again on individual layouts, and often pasted straight onto slides that were copied in from older decks. It can also sit inside grouped objects, on the title slide or on notes pages.

Inside a .pptx file, every one of these is a picture stored in the presentation. RepLogo checks all of them at once and replaces each copy that matches the logo you clicked, wherever it is used.

Changing the logo by hand vs. with RepLogo

In PowerPoint itself, replacing a logo takes several passes:

  1. Open View > Slide Master, right-click the logo and choose Change Picture.
  2. Check every layout under the master, because some layouts carry their own copy.
  3. Go through the slides one by one to find logos that were pasted directly onto them.
  4. Repeat all of it for every presentation you have.

With RepLogo it's one upload per file: click the old logo once, add the new one, and every copy is swapped in the same step.

How the new logo fits

The new logo goes into the old logo's frame, so its size, position, animations and transitions stay the same. Nothing else on the slide is touched.

Because it fills the same frame, a new logo with a very different shape can look stretched. If your new logo is much wider or taller than the old one, add transparent space around it so the width-to-height ratio is close to the old logo's.

If the old logo was a PNG with a transparent background, the new one keeps its transparency. If the old logo was saved as a JPG, the new one is saved as a JPG too.

What RepLogo can't replace in PowerPoint

RepLogo swaps pictures, so a few kinds of logo aren't picked up: logos typed as text or WordArt, logos drawn with shapes, and logos inserted as SVG icons. A logo that is part of a larger picture, such as a background image with the logo baked into it, also isn't replaced on its own.

If your deck uses a second version of the logo, such as a white logo on dark slides, that is a different picture. Run the downloaded file through RepLogo again and click the second version.

Google Slides and Keynote

For Google Slides, choose File > Download > Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx), replace the logo with RepLogo, then upload the updated file back to Google Drive. For Keynote, choose File > Export To > PowerPoint, replace the logo, and open the result in Keynote.

Questions about PowerPoint files

How do I change the logo on all slides in PowerPoint at once?

Upload the .pptx file to RepLogo, click the old logo, and add the new one. RepLogo replaces every copy of the logo in the presentation, so you don't have to edit each slide or the slide master by hand.

Does it replace logos on the slide master?

Yes. RepLogo replaces the logo image wherever it is stored in the presentation, including the slide master and layouts.

Can I use a .ppt file?

No, only .pptx is supported. Open the .ppt file in PowerPoint and save it as .pptx first.

Will my slides' text and layout change?

No. RepLogo only swaps the matching logo images and doesn't edit your text or slide layout.

Will animations and transitions still work?

Yes. The new logo takes the old logo's place in the same frame, so animations, transitions and links on it stay as they were.

Can I update a PowerPoint template (.potx)?

Save the template as a regular .pptx file, replace the logo with RepLogo, then save the result as a template again in PowerPoint.
